New and Unique Offering for “AC”
With the city that is “Always Turned On” as its backdrop, the Atlantic City International Film and Music Festival (Sept 8-12, 2010) establishes the first large scale offering for cinema and musical artists from around the world to showcase their innovation, creativity, diversity, and uniqueness of filmmaking & musical talents in one of the premier entertainment cities on the east coast – Atlantic City.

With awards available in both film and music categories along with premier Atlantic City Casino hotels owned and operated by Harrah’s entertainment hosting events, screenings, performances and nightlife, film makers and musicians will have ample opportunity to showcase their work. The vision of the Atlantic City International Film and Music Festival has been brought together with the commitment of the Atlantic City Mayor, the Honorable Lorenzo T. Langford as well as the support of Harrah’s, an icon in gaming and hotels in Atlantic City.

A New Way to Experience “AC”
Whether you are a regular or haven’t been in a while, the film and music offerings will offer everyone the chance to hand-pick their entertainment choices – family focused films, the boardwalk and beaches – culturally diverse and international music and film – late-night entertainment, music and dance – award-winning restaurants, food and nightclubs – and of course, gaming.

Commitment to Film and Music Industry
The Atlantic City International Film and Music Festival strives to provide an ongoing environment for its artists to engage and network in the ever-broadening filmmaker & musician dialogue with a diverse and international community. As a developing festival we look forward to infusing the long running industries of film and music with an appreciation for the new dynamic independent market of talent.

Starting Now and Looking Ahead
The Festival is committed to discovering; screening and promoting globally produced work by filmmakers & musicians who have created unique cinematic & musical experiences that do not feel restrained by traditional boundaries. With this in mind the Festival seeks to bring light to socially conscious issues and have laid out a five-year format to focus on issues that need to be brought to a larger public awareness – minority representation in film, promoting alternative images of Italian Americans in cinema, or highlighting LGBTQ lifestyles. We will always feature a socially conscious corner within the format of the Festival to highlight burgeoning issues that need addressing. The festival leadership has selected its Socially Conscious corner topic for this year to be LGBTQ(s) in film and is excited to welcome this to our inaugural year of programming.
